BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND — The eighth-annual High Precision Manufacturing Expo in Birmingham, England is poised to deliver a high-powered line-up of seminars, exhibitors and technologies from around the globe, including participation from the Accumold marketing team.
Organizers note the Sept. 28-29 event is the United Kingdom’s leading show for the micro manufacturing, nanotechnology and microelectronics markets, attracting an audience from six continents. Accumold Vice President of Marketing and Customer Strategy Aaron Johnson agrees the expo’s broad reach is a powerful draw for the Ankeny, Iowa-based maker of super-micro, ultra-precision parts.
“Birmingham’s High Precision Manufacturing Expo is an important annual event for Accumold that we’ve participated in since at least 2011. It’s a true one-stop shop for small and ultra-precision process technology,” Accumold Vice President of Marketing and Customer Strategy Aaron Johnson said today. “The expo always features an impressive array of exhibitors who, like Accumold, showcase the very latest technologies and solutions.”
This year’s micro, precision, MEMS and nano-manufacturing topics including micro and precision machining; micro milling; nanopositioning; laser manufacturing; microscopy; micro-molding; electroforming; laser machining; optical inspection; photonics; metrology and test equipment; MEMS fabrication; precision stamping; plastic injection; precision-cutting tools; chemical machining and treatment, sensors and actuators; and more.
“Last’s year’s expo attracted 3,330 attendees. When you’re talking about the aerospace, automotive, defense, electronics and medical industries, that’s a lot key decision-makers in the same place at the same time,” Johnson said. “Many of them know the unique products Accumold can deliver. For those who don’t, we’re always prepared to wow them with what our exceptional engineering and production experts can do.”
Since its inception in 1985, Accumold’s mission has been the production of super-micro, ultra-precision, plastic injection-molded parts. Parts manufactured by the firm are critical components of the medical, automotive, military, aerospace and telecommunications industries. They can be found in micro-electronics, cell phones, telecommunications, surgical tools, hearing aids, medical devices, antennas, connectors and more. To produce those parts, Accumold builds specialized molding machines engineered to handle volumes from prototypes to millions per year while maintaining consistent, precise tolerances that are unique in the industry.
