Accumold to Host Informational Meeting for Iowa Learns™ Internship Program

Accumold is pleased to invite central Iowa high school students and parents to an informational meeting about paid internship opportunities through the Iowa Learns™ program. Learn how to become an Accumold Future Maker on March 27th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. This internship program provides high school students, ages 17 to 18, with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in high-tech manufacturing while earning a paycheck.

Participants will work four days a week for two hours each day, gaining valuable industry skills while preparing for future careers in advanced manufacturing.

The informational meeting will be held at the Accumold facility in Ankeny. It will begin with a complimentary pizza dinner, followed by a program overview and Q&A session, and will conclude with a guided facility tour. RSVP is required to attend.

About Iowa Learns™
Iowa Learns™ is a Work-Based Learning model for Iowa high school students, designed to provide paid career exploration opportunities while strengthening the state’s skilled workforce. The program is based on federal regulations that allow student learners to engage in roles that may otherwise be restricted. (29 C.F.R. § 570.50(c))

As part of DMACC’s Work-Based Learning initiatives, Iowa Learns™ fosters collaboration between students, parents, schools, and businesses such as Accumold. The goal is to prepare students for in-demand careers while supporting Iowa’s economic growth.
