Wearable technology will soon move from the new and flashy category in most consumers minds, to the norm, and the Wearable Technologies Conference 2019 in San Francisco, often called the WT Conference, is where you find us showing off the most sophisticated microinjection mold tech you’ve ever seen.

What is the WT Conference?

This year on July 9-10, 2019 the Moscone Center in San Francisco will be overtaken by the best minds in wearable tech for its 34th year. The conference will be co-located with SEMICON West and designers, engineers and executives will gain be able to connect to likeminded pros from the WT ecosystem like us, alongside and top purchasers and leading manufacturers. This year the WT Conference will showcase the « Who’s Who » of the entire WT ecosystem and highlight what’s next in connectivity, AI, AR & VR, sensors, energy tech, and smart products under the wearable category like hearables, glasses, watches, activity trackers, implants, pills and patches.

Speakers include Joel Goldsmith, Senior Director of Digital Platforms at Abbott, Jeff Ray, Executive Director of Business and Technology at Omron Healthcare, Carolina Mora Lopez, the R&D Team Leader Circuits for Neural Interfaces at imec,
Pankaj Kedia, the Global Head for Smart Wearables for Qualcomm Technologies and many others.

The Power (and Popularity) of Micro

Due to growing customer demands, requiring lighter, smaller, thinner and more robust designs, Accumold’s head of customer strategy, Aaron Johnson, will be present at the WT Conference to answer questions. Every year we make ourselves available to the world’s leading engineers and every year we experience a deluge of insightful inquiries regarding micro molding.

Sometimes referred to as microscopic injection molding, micro injection molding, or tiny injection molding, the most frequent response from even lifelong molders, is « woa… I didn’t know you could do that with plastic. »
