MEDTECH WORLD’S MD&M MINNEAPOLIS DRAWS ACCUMOLD MARKETING STAFF TO THE LAND OF 10,000 LAKES
ANKENY, Iowa – The Land of 10,000 Lakes became the land of 5,000 medical device and manufacturing professionals, drawn to the Twin Cities by the 2013 MD&M Minneapolis Exposition and Conference. And, the Accumold marketing staff was right in the thick of things Oct. 28-29.
MD&M Minneapolis included a keynote address on mind-controlled medical devices and discussions on industry breakthroughs, the effects of globalization, developing cutting-edge cardiovascular devices, innovations in implantable devices, and insights into the Food and Drug Administration regulatory process.
“The MD&M Minneapolis featured more than 600 suppliers, 85 presenters, 40 presentations, roundtables and panels by top original equipment manufacturers and more than 5,000 people in attendance,” Johnson said. “When you have that kind of line-up anywhere in the world, it’s going to be tremendously appealing, but there was no way we’d pass up an event of that magnitude so close to home. Accumold had the added benefit of being highlighted on the Qmed Supplier Directory, which is the world’s only directory of pre-qualified suppliers to the medical device and in vitro diagnostics industry.”
Since its inception in 1985, Accumold’s mission has been the production of super-micro, ultra-precision, plastic injection-molded parts. Parts manufactured by the firm are critical components of the medical, automotive, military, aerospace and telecommunications industries. They can be found in micro-electronics, cell phones, telecommunications, surgical tools, hearing aids, medical devices, antennas, connectors and more. To produce those parts, Accumold builds specialized molding machines engineered to handle volumes from prototypes to millions per year while maintaining consistent, precise tolerances that are unique in the industry.
