Do You Have Clean Rooms In Your Manufacturing Facility?
Micro mold manufacturing is often required to produce components in a very controlled environment. It is for this reason, micro molding is done inside 100k (ISO Class 8) and 10k (ISO Class 7) micro mold clean rooms.
Micro Mold Clean Rooms At Accumold
Because more critical functionality is being demanded by many industries like medical and micro electronics, we have focused on various levels of clean room technology. Even the smallest impurity can alter part geometry, rendering it useless.
For many years a large number of our customers have been in the medical technology space and we make critical components for their most demanding technology, therefore our clean rooms are a standard part of our manufacturing process. We are proud to offer both 100k (ISO Class 8) and 10k (ISO Class 7) clean rooms for various projects.
We keep our clean rooms free of contaminants by proper gowning procedures and state of the art airlocks and filtration technology. In 100k cleanrooms, gowns, eye protection, hair nets and beard nets (when necessary are worn.) In 10k clean rooms, gowns, eye protection, gloves, hair nets, booties, and face nets are worn, even if someone doesn’t have facial hair. In addition, even makeup is not allowed.
100k (ISO Class 8) Micro Mold Clean Rooms
Our 100k clean rooms also meet International Standards Organization for a class 8 clean room. This clean room must have no more than:
- 3,520,000 particles in the air measuring 0.5 microns
- 832,000 particles in the air measuring 1 micron
- 29,300 particles in the air measuring 5 microns
10k (ISO Class 7) Micro Mold Clean Rooms
Our 10k clean rooms also meet International Standards Organization for a class 7 clean room. This clean room must have no more than:
- 352,000 particles in the air measuring 0.5 microns
- 83,200 particles in the air measuring 1 micron
- 2,930 particles in the air measuring 5 microns
Many first time visitors who have a long-standing history in the manufacturing industry are stunned when they see how well our facility is maintained and just how clean we keep our entire headquarters. We continually monitor temperature and air particulate to ensure we are maintaining proper standards. You can visit the ISO website for a better understanding of the International Standards Organization.
