Accumold began
in a rented garage in 1985. Back then, our focus was to manufacture very small micro sized parts
other companies could not produce. It still is. In fact, we believe we are the one of the oldest,
if not the oldest micro-molding company that started in micro-molding and stayed there. Our original
1985 Micro-MolderŽ was designed to manufacture small parts with minimal waste and short
cycle times for the electronic component manufacturers. We continue to focus on industries that
demand fast turnaround and small, complex parts such as Micro
Electronics, Automotive, Fiber/Optic, Medical,
and Military, as
well as emerging technologies and markets.
Parts like these are typically less than 0.5 cubic inches in volume. To larger molded parts, we
add micro-features, such as thin walls, micro-fluid channels, tiny holes, filters, or screens.
These parts can be found in items like cell phones, optic devices, surgical tools, hearing aids,
medical devices, antennas, connectors and more. Packaging and shipping these tiny parts in lead
frames and tape and reel are also our specialties.
If you want micro-parts, be leery of injection molding companies that make larger parts, bought
smaller molding machinery and now claim to be in the micro-molding business. Machines alone do
not make a company a micro-molder. One can't become a brain surgeon simply by buying the instruments!
Having an understanding of the physics, material science and manufacturability in micro-molding
is every bit as important as the machines and instrumentation. We have been experts at micro-molding
since the mid-1980s and our expertise in that niche continues to grow. After all, we own the registered
marks Accu-moldŽ, Micro-moldŽ and Micro-molderŽ. We are the "go to" place for all parts micro.
Call the injection molder down the street when you need larger, simpler injection molded parts.
Call Accumold when you need micro-features or very small, micro-parts other companies can't
produce.
